Two short Research Methods Courses (RMC) are offered in conjunction with the 28th IPSA World Congress of Political Science in Seoul, South Korea, on 12 July 2025. Given by renowned international instructors, these in-person courses offer state-of-the-art information about recent advances in research methods across various fields.
They attract both junior and senior scholars interested in these fields and in the recent developments that have helped enhance their respective research.
IPSA is pleased to announce that Professor Neera Chandhoke will be a plenary speaker at the 2025 IPSA World Congress in Seoul on 16 July 2025.
Her keynote, titled Legal Autocracy in South Asia, will examine how autocrats in the region undermine democratic institutions through legislation while maintaining the facade of democracy. Prof. Chandhoke will explore the factors behind their enduring popularity, including the use of populist strategies that exploit fears and historical conflicts in pluralistic societies.
