Registration is now Open! All participants, including strack chairs, panel chairs, discussants and paper givers, must register to attend the Congress. All Congress participants must be 2025 individual IPSA members to register for the Congress. Register by 20 March 2025 to enjoy the early-bird discount! Please note that fees will increase on 21 March.
IPSA is pleased to announce that Professor Neera Chandhoke will be a plenary speaker at the 2025 IPSA World Congress in Seoul on 16 July 2025.
Her keynote, titled Legal Autocracy in South Asia, will examine how autocrats in the region undermine democratic institutions through legislation while maintaining the facade of democracy. Prof. Chandhoke will explore the factors behind their enduring popularity, including the use of populist strategies that exploit fears and historical conflicts in pluralistic societies.
Track chairs are currently reviewing over 6,000 paper submissions and 800 panel proposals for the 2025 IPSA World Congress of Political Science in Seoul. Notification emails regarding the acceptance of proposals will be sent on 22 January 2025. Early bird registration for the World Congress will also open on that date.
