The Call for Proposals deadline for the 28th IPSA World Congress of Political Science on 12-16 July 2025 in Seoul has been extended to 12 November 2024.

We hope this extension provides everyone with additional time to submit a paper or closed panel proposal. With hundreds of high-quality submissions already received, we extend our sincere thanks to all who have submitted their proposals.

The nomination deadline for the 2025 IPSA Awards has been extended to 29 November! We hope this extension will allow you to submit nominations for those who have made outstanding contributions to political science.

IPSA confers several prestigious awards, presented at the IPSA World Congress, that recognize outstanding contributions to political science and include a monetary prize. 

IPSA is pleased to announce that Professor Donatella della Porta will be a plenary speaker at the 2025 IPSA World Congress of Political Science in Seoul on 14 July 2025. Her keynote, titled The Contentious Politics of Academic Freedom: Social Movements and Repression, will explore the growing threats to academic freedom, particularly the repression of scholars and social movements in both authoritarian regimes and Western democracies.
