Description
Visual politics and the politics of images are central to electoral campaigns. Either in democratic, semi-democratic, or even authoritarian regimes, political campaigns systematically utilize these resources to advance political proyects, influence pulblic opinion, or consolidate hegemonic projects. From a global perspective, in this panel a plurality of case studies will be considered, debated, and theorized. Intertwined with the politics of images, different political and electoral systems will be considered in their relationships with visual politics and political strategies.
