Description

The panel aims to give visibility to papers in the field of political representation and participation of women and/or persons with identities beyond the binary in countries around the world. More specifically, we are looking for paper submissions discovering the political role and value of women and third genders in societies through public opinion (e.g., public perception and appreciation of different genders in politics via surveys, societal values), gender and institutions (e.g., governance, ministries), institutional frameworks and regulations (e.g., quota systems in institutions and their effectiveness), gender and political parties (e.g., party list position allocations, electoral dynamics, political campaigns), political behavious of genders (e.g., values, formulation of political preferences), gender and current political/social movements, gender and migration, gender theory and democratic quality, and current issues throughout a gender perspective (e.g., wars, economic crises). Approaches focusing on intersections of gender and race, economic status, sexuality, and/or other identities are also encouraged.
