Participate in the WC2025 Video Contest to Win a Free Registration!

The International Political Science Association (IPSA) is pleased to invite students and early-career scholars worldwide to participate in a video contest in anticipation of the upcoming IPSA World Congress of Political Science in Seoul, South Korea, from 12-16 July 2025. 

Create a short video in which you explain why attending the #IPSA2025 World Congress will contribute to your academic career. Tag IPSA on social media and use the official Congress hashtag #IPSA2025. The three most creative, relevant, and engaging videos will be selected as the winners. Don't miss this opportunity to showcase your work and connect with the global political science community.

🎥 How to Participate

1.    If you are a student or an early-career scholar, create a short video (maximum 1 minute) explaining why you’re excited to attend the 2025 IPSA World Congress in Seoul and how it could impact your academic career;
2.    Follow one of IPSA’s social media accounts (Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn) and post your video on your social media account(s);
3.    Use the official World Congress hashtag, #IPSA2025, in your post;
4.    Tag one of IPSA's official social media accounts in your post:

  • Submission Deadline: 15 November 2024
  • Announcement of Winners: 11 December 2024

đź“ś Contest Rules

  • Participants must submit a paper or panel proposal to the 2025 IPSA World Congress program as a paper presenter or panel convenor.
  • The video should not exceed 1 minute.
  • The video must be original content created by the participant.
  • The video must be posted using the official World Congress hashtag #IPSA2025.
  • The video must be shared publicly on at least one of the following platforms: Facebook, X(Twitter), Instagram, or LinkedIn, and the participant must tag at least one of IPSA’s official accounts.

🏆 Selection Process and Prize

  • The three (3) winners will be selected based on creativity, relevance to the World Congress theme, and engagement (the number of likes, shares, and comments) on social media.
  • A panel of IPSA judges will review the videos and select the three (3) winners.
  • Each winner will receive a complimentary registration for the 2025 IPSA World Congress in Seoul. Please note that IPSA membership is required to use this registration and attend the Congress.
