Registration deadline for DMZ tour: 21 June
The Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) is a buffer area established through treaties or agreements to prohibit the presence of weapons and military forces. It is designed to prevent armed conflict and protect key international transportation routes. Within the DMZ, military activity, including the deployment of troops, weapons, and military facilities, is strictly forbidden.
Despite its status as a zone of intense military tension and confrontation, it is also a unique haven for biodiversity, home to a rich and largely undisturbed natural ecosystem.
Alternative Tour Option:
If DMZ access is restricted, we offer an alternative visit to Odusan Unification Observatory, a key landmark in Paju, established in 1992 to educate visitors about Korea’s division and honor families separated by the border. Located along the northernmost ceasefire line, it offers sweeping views of Gaeseong’s Songaksan Mountain to the north and Seoul’s 63 Building to the south.
Also included is a ride on the Paju Imjingak Peace Gondola, which provides a unique aerial perspective of the DMZ and surrounding areas. Enjoy scenic views of the Imjingang River, Freedom Bridge, and Imjingak Park—deepening your understanding of the region’s historical and geopolitical significance.
Lunch is at leisure.
