Background

Recognised as study group in 1994; granted research committee status in 1999.

Objectives

Focuses on some neglected, interrelated areas of international relations/international political economy such as globalisations, regionalisms and internationalisation; encourages alternative, critical and radical approaches which are interdisciplinary and historical by a new generation of scholars especially from the South. Factors analysed include civil societies, technologies, feminisation, new coalitions, new security issues and peace building, etc.
