Description

Social policy is important because it seeks to improve the welfare of society, focusing on the most vulnerable groups. To achieve this objective, social policies are aimed at reducing inequality, increasing social protection, promoting human development, building societies with greater cohesion and are based on social justice.
This panel will present some papers that allow us to identify areas of opportunity to implement social policies and to learn about the results of some of these policies. The papers in this panel focus on health and education coverage in India, child labor in Bihar (India), economic support for families with more than two children in Poland, and pro-gender progress in Peruvian education policy.
