Intergroup Relations and Conflict

Description

This panel invites papers that seek to advance theoretical and/or empirical insights into this pivotal research field of political psychology. Particularly, in our current times of populist movements and politics, notions of in-groups vs. out-groups are constantly politicized and feed into groups’ behavior as well as individuals’ social identity formation, attitudes, preferences and electoral choices. From this vantage point, we welcome conceptual as well as quantitative or qualitative papers that focus on advances in the manifold political dimensions of intergroup research.
