The Continuous Effects of Neoliberalism

Type
Open Panel
Language

Description

The post-2008 Global Financial Crisis (GFC) represents a landmark in relation to the loss of legitimacy of neoliberal economic ideas and policies. However, almost 20 years after the GFC, no clear alternative economic paradigm has emerged. In any case, there is clear trend towards increasing state-centrism in market organization. The panel seeks to make sense of neoliberal legacies while not neglecting the return of government interventionism in the economy.
