Description

The unification of the Korean Peninsula goes beyond South and North Korea and significantly impacts Northeast Asia, the whole Eurasian Continent, and the world. This process involves the two Koreas and neighboring powers and extends to the broader Eurasian continent. The integration and communication necessary for Korean Peninsula unification require the involvement of various entities, including state and non-state actors, as well as neighboring states.

Our panel aims to address these complexities through a threefold approach: First, we aim to establish the groundwork for unification and post-unification by creating essential infrastructures. Second, we advocate for cooperation with northern regions to support the unification process. Third, we envision a new Korean Peninsula and Northern cultural community that will inspire and unite by establishing a cultural hub rooted in cultural contact points.

Our panel's framework is not based on a single discipline but on interdisciplinary research that combines humanistic reflection and social science policy proposals. This comprehensive approach ensures that our panel will make a substantial contribution to developing a national strategy for the unification of the Korean Peninsula. We leave no stone unturned in our quest for a thorough understanding of the issue and the best possible solutions.
