Description

The panel will explore challenges and recent advances in the study of Political Science as a discipline. These are some of the questions that could be addressed in the papers: Which useful methods are frequently left unemployed or underemployed? How to choose and implement comparative methods? How to conceptualize, interpret and measure power relations within political science? How to account for the challenges produced by heterogeneity/inequality within countries? How to engage in collaboration given the inequality between the Global North and the Global South? How can set-theoretic methods contribute to the study of political science as a discipline? How can ethnographic approaches enrich the study of political science as a discipline? How can feminist methods broaden this field? How to maintain reflexivity and openness while conducting research on political scientists?
