The climate issue has generated significant debates in relation to multiples expressions of power. This panel explores how harnessing power at various levels including power of people and communities has become a significant political force in the climate space. This panel also explores power dynamics in relation to equity, diversity, human rights, race, culture and gender inequality and how these are linked to climate crisis.The mobilization of power by ordinary people through street protests and other means of activism such as art, literature, research and lobbying has been demonstrated as increasingly powerful, this panel explore case studies across the World where climate justice is intertwined with power dynamics at play at local level.
