Asia is a region of diversity. Beyond its vast geographical diversity that encompasses East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Central Asia, the region offers a variety of topics and issues to be analyzed and compared both within the region and with other parts of the world. These topics and issues include political development and governance, political economy and public policy, regionalism and political integration, as well as the dynamic relations among Asian countries and between Asia and other regions. This Local Organizing Committee (LOC) track invites panels and individual papers that focus on the diverse regional, subregional, and country-specific issues and cases in Asia. The LOC of the 2025 Seoul World Congress of IPSA particularly encourages the participation of neighboring Asian countries. The LOC welcomes country-specific panels focusing on individual Asian countries, including, but not limited to, Japanese Politics, Taiwanese Politics, Indian Politics, and Chinese Politics. The country-specific panel may be presented orally in either of the official languages of IPSA (English and French) or the country's own language but the proposal must be submitted in English. As for panel and paper proposals on Korean Politics, it is advised to submit them to the other three Korea-focused tracks organized by the LOC.
